Lady Gaga’s Speechless: The song was written for her father, who is alive but had open heart surgery, she wrote this song for him & sang it when she went to the hospital with him. Its about her loving a boy and going on with her life but she will never stop loving her dad and that he’s her man forever. So sweet of her.
Gaga’s father had heart complications (caused by his heavy drinking, which explains the references to alcohol/bars), at first he refused to have the open heart surgery. He got just last month and gaga told him that if he died because of his health she’d quit making music and spend the rest of her life taking care of her sister and mom. This is the song she wrote to convince him to go through with the operation.
