Six years ago, it was Ali G. Three years ago, it was Borat.
Sacha Baron Cohen introduced moviegoers to a character critics called ‘Vulgar… shocking… and friggin’ hilarious’,” begins the Bruno trailer. “That was so 2006.”
Poster, website and trailer reveals for Cohen’s daring new Bruno, a docucomedy distributed in the Middle East by Gulf Film, live up to the legacy left by Borat. In his follow-up to that hit, the man of many faces plays another of his comic alter egos – Bruno, a gay fashionista – so imagine the trouble he can get himself into this time.
You’ll be laughing at the screen when you check out the trailer. Keep your eyes peeled for a summer release.
