Let me start by saying that I’m a student, on a fixed income unless I get some freelance to do around and I happen to have a lover or a best friend that I call a lot.
Saving up here, is a huge option. So, I bought a cheap ass mobile phone, and started using Zain, because Zain Jordan offers 700 minutes/week for 1 JD to 5 Zain numbers. I added my friend’s number, recharged and paid the fees to use this service. Just to find out that Zain’s reception in my area is full, but network stability and quality is a little bit crappier than Umniah’s & that I’m not really enjoying my 700 minutes, I spend most of the time repeating myself talking or calls get disconnected for no reason.
So, I decided to use my Orange again, 1 piastre/min but sound quality and reception are perfect. Now, I’d like to thank Orange for the great offer of talking for half-piastre a minute. I usually talk at night, so now I can buy 400 minutes for 1.99 JD (tax included) and use them all day on Friday or daily from 12:00am till 7:00am. which is a good time, considering 2 hours/night call and I can probably bare with 1 piastre/minute all day.
Thanks Zain, I had to quit on you for being unreliable and unstable. 700 minutes that I can’t use and I need to pay 5 piastres every time I need to know minutes left, well… Orange gives me that for free after every call, sms or report unlike your crappy services.

Same here, been using Zain for over 3 years , network coverage is excellent but it’s quality leaves a lot to desire. Seems like the network indicator means nothing in relation to it’s actual quality/strength. I’m stuck with Zain , cant notify everyone of my new number, too much hassle.

Actually, i think this is unfair to Zain, i had orange line, and the reception was bad in my area, and the quality was worse…
with Zain i don’t have these problems.. and with the 750 free minutes… its great..

I have a fastlink line, i need to stand in the door way of the kitchen to get the only decent reception, if i turn in any direction other than facing the sink i loose reception. But it’s a great location when i need to talk to the plumber. Surprisingly the balcony of the kitchen doesn’t have good reception even though the building across me towers a zain antenna.
But then again i’ve used zain, orange, xpress and the unfortunate umniah i still would rank zain as the best.
