I was shocked to know that a serving of most standard cereals is 3/4 of a cup.
That doesn’t quite fill up a bowl, and I can’t think of anyone who would actually *not* fill the bowl up with cereal first. It says up to 13 servings on average in a box on the side?
I think it comes down to about 5 bowls for me. No wonder I’m fat. Probably doesn’t help that I use chocolate milk too. Cinnamon Toast Crunch rocks.

I think that’s related to the salt/sugar content too… The brands don’t want you to read the box and think ‘Hmm, one serving is half my day’s allowance of salt…’
Thanks for article. Everytime like to read you.
Thank you

Its based on an “average” person calorie count per day which is I believe is around 2000K, now maybe according to your BMI and your metabolic rate, u might require more for breakfast… Gotta check with a nutritionist coz I’m just yabbering… I love cereal but its been soooooo long since I had a nice bowl o cereal.. I wake up late for work every day that I only have time to brush my teeth… My favorite cereal is kellogs with tony the tiger character can’t remember wats it called…
