Religulous follows political humorist and author Bill Maher as he travels around the globe interviewing people about God and religion. Known for his astute analytical skills, irreverent wit and commitment to never pulling a punch, Maher brings his characteristic honesty to an unusual spiritual journey.
Let me start and say that I am a sucker for a good documentary and this one is. It made a load of powerful points that just cannot be refuted. As someone who believes in evolution as well as God, the film did enlighten me about a host of issues that I had been unaware of.
I loved the documentary, recommended by my flatmate. I call Maher a hero in that he fears the consequences of irrational religious so much that he is literally willing to put his life on the line to deliver his message. I believe that everyone should see this film. It is entertaining, enlightening, hilarious and ultimately frightening.
I don’t like supporting piracy, but the movie won’t make it to the middle east legally I’m sure, here’s a link where you can download it off rapidshare (8 files, 100 mb/each).

It was a good documentary, and hilarious too, although I felt Maher was specifically after the nuttiest representatives of religion and not featuring the more “moderate” ones. Real funny though.

My favorite quote from the movie, very true, I really loved the movie but to be honest I expected a little bit more, he wasn’t harsh enough on the religious people.
I loved the goal of the documentary, spreading doubt and I think that he has succeeded in that.
