What pisses me off?

I understand that in Hijabis world, there are so many different styles and colors and levels of strictness the women observe, from a head-to-toe black covering to a chic scarf barely covering gorgeously styled hair. It is insane, specially when sometimes a Hijabi (covered lady) do not even have a slit for the eyes. Instead, the face is covered by a slightly thinner piece of black fabric that works like a one-way mirror: they can see out, but we can’t see in (like wearing sunglasses at night).

But all of what I mentioned doesn’t piss me off, I don’t even care. What does is the “modern” Hijabis.

Today while crossing the street, a Hijabi went “Astaghfarallah” when she saw me because I had piercings on (and they’re not as obscene). I smiled and replied “Elli yakhdek”. She was shocked, well at least I had my reasons. Let me start with the way she looked, she was out in the tightest jeans on earth (I think she used Vaseline), yet stylish belted transparent top in blue and a simple cotton white headscarf barely covering her head and half the hair out with red lipstick that doesn’t even match her skin.

I was wearing sneakers, black trousers, a black hoodie and had my iPod on. I can go “Astaghfarallah” on her and her family, but I come from a better home I suppose?

About Hijabis over here…first of all I can’t generalise this situatuion.However,I can tell that such incicdent happened at my uni..I’ve been judged by my collegues for being a “fay3a” and “shayfe 7alha” with no specific and convincing reasons or maybe because I am not a Hijabi..

I have a Hijabi friend she is cute,very open-minded,and mashallah she is so smart too !!

so what I wanna say that,that girl is not a true muslim and doesn’t represent true Hijabis,u know why?because simply she pre-judged you only by your appereance!!And nobody has the right to comment at each other (hijabi or non hijabi)

haha, I don’t think I would have said that to the girl if I was put in that scene, arabic girls are good at ranting and they easily make a scene out of nothing, but its good that you have done that
