Beyonce opens and closed the last TRL, TRL was the flagship television series on MTV that featured popular music videos. TRL was MTV’s prime outlet for music videos as the network continues to concentrate on reality-based programming. In addition to music videos, TRL featured daily guests. The show was a popular promotion tool used by musicians, actors, and other celebrities to promote their newest works to the show’s target teen demographic.

I used to skip school for the top 10 @ TRL, now it is gone. I just found out (I don’t have TV in my new place yet, and I don’t need one for now), TRL was canceled, last show + special three-hour finale aired on November 16, 2008, at 8 p.m.

It is gone :(

OH MY GOD! I used to have MTV and TRL is one of my big memories of it. In fact, it’s one of my big memories of growing up with American music! RIP TRL.

I heard that yesterday by an email from a friend of mine .. Such a shame it was really one hell of a show .. I used to skip School for the top 10 too haha .. Oh well .. I heard because they are making a brand new show very similar to Total Request Live aka TRL .. I love TRL and you will always be remembered :(
