I’m surprisingly back into my rock mood, been listening to many different songs all day.

Here’s my list for today, few kick ass songs:

Silverchair’s Suicidal Dream:
A nice Nirvana-ish type of a song about what everyone feels at least once in their life. The voices are people… people making fun. Happiness to me everyday… This song is great because whenever you feel like this it’s nice to hear someone else say exactly what you feel.

Deftones’ Be Quiet and Drive:
This song is based on an old Depeche Mode song about just forgetting all your troubles and leaving on a trip with close friends on a road trip. That’s what Chino said in an interview. This is definitely an amazing song. I’m not quite sure what it means, but I think it is about kicking back and letting time pass you by and not caring. but then there is this little “I-just-got-over-this-person” and “you-can-be-him-now” type of thing kind of hard with the lack of lyrics.
If you like this song at all, I HIGHLY recommend you download the acoustic version. It’s one of the best songs I’ve ever heard. He sings it with such skill and emotion that it’s hard not to instantly fall in love with it.

Dredg’s Bug Eyes:
This song is about existentialism; everyone must ultimately take responsibility for their acts of free will without truly knowing what’s right or wrong. explaining the line “Only those who accept, Will find that acceptance in return”.

Editors’ Push Your Head Towards The Air:
Not that their entire album is about death and coming to terms with it! This song I think is about those few moments before one dies. Trying to tell someone that there’s nothing to fear, that death is natural, that you should be smiling because you’ve had a good innings and that your loved one is here to hold your hand.

“There’s people climbing out of their cars, lining the road side. Trying to glimpse at the dead”

People do this, at least where I live… I think its quiet awful. Something happens on the road and people don’t concentrate on anything else but trying to catch a glimpse of the injured. People have been known to take pictures!!! Is this song trying to look at this in a different way? That people are trying to see this thing happen, were someone goes up to heaven (or wherever you believe) as if they start a journey to a new life and people are trying to witness that journey!
