Many people who tried online dating were exposed to the fact that the person they knew online is not the same person they met in real life.

I think online hook-ups/relationships are no different than any other kind, dating a person you met online is just like dating a person from work. It is not any different, all relationships involve some sort of risk.

I’ve had online relationships, some failed and some didn’t, however that doesn’t mean Internet dating doesn’t work, what worries me is the anonymity which allows you to create any personality you want to be, some make it totally unlike themselves in real life and they could fool everybody if they want to.

It is all happening just because the Internet is the latest and most convenient tool of communication. People sometimes (example: my mother, your mother, his mother… mothers in general) think it’s a joke to find potential partners on the Internet.

Yet there are many married couples who have met their love through it (my cousin did…)

I guess arranged marriages do not work well anymore? I do not believe in them…

i met some guys off the net. it wasn’t fun.. to me the personality wasn’t that big of deal.. they were the same.. but telling me you are tall and you are barely my height was pushing it.. and i am not short..

i know ppl who got married off the internet, and it all comes down to not prolonging the meeting part, coz the more u depend on chatting the worse and more awkward it is to interact in real, plus they have to be in the same country, mish online AND distant relationship! that wud never work..

i think dating online is the safest way for people like me, though it might turn out to be a disappointment but in the end sometimes it work out to be for the best though it might take sometime to actually find someone that’s worth it

Online dating can definitely work, it’s just about your approach and acting with discretion. A couple of my cousins and some friends have actually met their spouses online. I’ve done some online dating, but it didn’t work too well for me, I think that it’s much, much more time consuming than real-life interactions. It’s a hit-or-miss kinda thing.

online dating really works as well..but originality is hard to find..fakes are more..
