*Thinking*… so here I’m at the University, finishing my 2nd year.. I remember the old days, At first, it was quite scary. By the time I did it, I was nervous, but I wasn’t the only one. I can bet that most other first-years felt the same. If they didn’t all look that way, it’s because some people are better at hiding their feelings than others. The first semester was a great time to make new friends, and people I met are now friends for life. That’s because we went through a lot together, good and bad. They are a part of my support group, and I’m a part of theirs. I also met people who share my interests while doing this, though didn’t forget my old friends or my family. They don’t understand everything I do now, but they should remain an important part of my support group. Contacting my parents to tell them I’m fine (even if I don’t actually feel so fine) is a must.
Remember: they’re concerned about you and they themselves are also having to get used to life without you.
As I settled in, I found life is far less organized for me. Yes, I have lectures, but I also have many hours with nothing scheduled. Some people grab the chance to be lazy with both hands. In fact, it isn’t really ‘free’ at all. You need lots of it to get all your homeworks, projects and presentations done properly.
On any case…
Installing a semi-used water boiler = 100
Renting a small apartment = 170
Moving out (total cost) = 30
Safeway (filling the fridge with essentials) = 60
Rent Insurance = 200
Left till the end of the month (hardly enough for university transportations) = 10 (not to forget university requirements)
Life is good… and PRICELESS!
