I recommend taking a cab to any of the areas (1 & 2) to the rest of the locations, you’ll get better cheaper offers from local yellow cabs or tourism services (mostly located at Al-Shmaisani).
If the area isn’t listed then it must be in the eastern/western sides of Amman and the fair should be between the prices of area 1 and 2.
I hope that this is any useful, just another draft.

Kadeesh min elma6ar la 6abarboor?
Beddy bas mesh taxi, 3ashan eshanaty (8).
Peace
Area 1 or 2, and you’ll need 2 cars unless they have a jeep or something. it’s fucked up because public taxis aren’t allowed to pick you up from the airport, or try shusmo fixing it up with someone to pick you up.
dude fi Express bus , 1.25jds and drops off at many stops that are close to alot of these areas ,its final stop is al abdali ,and for those who need to get to further places ,you can take any bus or taxi from al abdali to where-ever.
I always get ripped off by cabs at the airport, when I give the invoice I get at the airport the cab drivers always ignore it and add another 5JD to the price, I go to the 6th circle, usually I pay between 15-20JD. I’m a foreigner so I guess they see this as a license to rip me off. I’ll be visiting Jordan next week so I will see what happens.
On another note I hate those luggage assistants at the airport, they grab your bags off u, walk a few feet and demand money. On one occasion a guy took my bag and wouldn’t give if back until I gave him money, i threw him a few fils but he demanded at least 5JD. I’ve had a lot of bad experiences at Queen Aliya Airport, this post could go on and on… But I’ll stop

Great post Moey, apologies for the long rant
adel; anytime
dadan; from the airport?
Shy; well, you can make problems and go to the police station with the invoice and since you’re not from here. as for the workers, well do not let him.. shout at him in front of all! you want me to help you? I can wait for you at the airport.
No thats ok, I think I’m getting the hang of how to handle these guys
Thanks dude!

Nice! I wish I had this to look at before I went down last summer. Also a tip for travelers, if you’re going to Petra/Sheikh Hussein Bridge, any long trip, the price is for the car as a whole, so when the car is packed, you’ll end up sharing the cost of the whole cab, a fraction of the cost
For the longer trips, try to get other people to share the cab with you, it’s less lonely too :p
Thanks for this.. We’re visiting Jordan in a couple of months and we want to know how much it SHOULD be for a cab to various places. We have about 10 hours to spare to go to the Dead Sea… but we just want to get there, hang out for a couple of hours and come back.. but maybe visit a couple places around the Dead Sea area – any suggestions – and any suggestions of how to get around? Day tours are not flexible.
Thanks!
Would the rates be the same going to the Queen Aliya Airport? I’m particularly interested in the rates (and taxi availability) from the Sheikh Hussain Bridge and from the King Hussain’s Bridge to the Airport.
Thanks,
Can you recommend a travelling agency to arrange a taxi from Sheikh Hussain bridge to the airport?
Thanks
