Are you guys blind or what? Sorry, but you guys can NOT judge, you DID not live under HIS shit! People who can judge what he did are either Iraqis, Kuwaitis or people from other nationalities and lived during the era in Kuwait/Iraq. ONLY!
I was around 5-6 years old, when the Gulf War took action, I lived in Kuwait during the war.. I saw my father trying selling our stuff, furniture just to be able to get Water and Bread to the house.. I saw our family getting torn apart, my 3 married sisters.. two of them had to leave to Syria with their husbands, children.. Their apartments, cars.. everything got stolen, and unfortunately not by Iraqis or Kuwaitis.. by some Palestinians who used to hire vans and fill them up with other people’s belongings.. and most of them ran away to Amman and sold the things or used them, most of them now are taxi drivers or even worthless scums who can’t do shit for living.
I remember the days when we didn’t have water to wash after using the bathroom, nor electricity.. and when the Iraqi soldiers forced us and replaced our fancy colored school books with the crappy black and white ones from Iraq. or the days when my dad had to take his car’s battery off to plug a lamp at home with using a circuit of wires connected to the +/- sides.
I also remembered that once they wanted to mess my life up and take me to some orphan shelter, away from my sister (I was with her company), because her skin is just darker. which made grab me and run away…
My Family and I had to suffer from that bastard and his army, and you still feel sorry for him.
I think that this is the best Eid ever, because he’s dead now, I love the US of A more than ever, I worship USA Now, I think USA is the best thing ever happened and I respect Bush for giving Muslims around the world a gift on Eid.
You guys defending that bastard are….. you know what, Inshalla someday you’ll pass by some similar war and hate some other stupid arab worthless leader and then, I’ll be laughing at you and supporting him, Just for the sake of showing what kind of idiot you are.

Dude, you’re missing the big picture. It’s not about Saddam, Kuwait or just Iraq. People are sad because every Arab and Muslim has been slapped and humiliated by this action.
If Saddam is to be hanged for his actions, in the same line you should have Bush, Rice, Cheney, and Rumsfeld because they all contributed to the blood rivers drowning Iraq. You can also include some of the Sabah family for contributing shamefully to what’s happening in Iraq

The oil prices have nothing to do with the reason for the war. Saddam wanted to attack kuwait, and before saddam Iraq was saying that Kuwait was part of Iraq so please. I was 9 at the time and I remember it. They closed down the schools for a month and chaos occurred! I was in Riyadh and the US military base was near our house. I used to see rockets and missiles back and forth on top of us. I am not saying we should cheer for his death. But him dying will not bring back everything and the coming days will be worse. Saddam used to be a puppet to US. Then he changed and went his own way and paid for it. History repeats it self. I don’t trust Arabic leaders and I hope all Arab leaders who love their chair who witnessed yesterday’s event have finally gotten a reality check! OK, you told us one side of the story, but you didnt tell us what the Kuwaity government did!
After the war between Iraq and Iran, The Iraqi Rujiem was collapsing, it was in need of a lot of money to pay the costs of the war and to rebuild its self, It expected to receive some money for the nearby arabic countries, but it didn’t..
So it had to rely on exporting its oil.. which it wasn’t really enough “fast enough at least”..So the bitches in Kuwait decided to export as much oil it can for the lowest price possible … a prise thats even lower than the cost of production!
Not only that, Kuwait was found of even steeling oil from Iraq through underground pipes from its borders, and thats when the war started!
The Kuwaiti Government deserve this, but not the people, The Kuwaiti Government left their country to fight the enemy alone while they were hiding in another country..
I’m not saying that this is an excuse for The Iraqi government to invade Kuwait..

Hello Everyone,
Ok everyone.. of all due respect to Moey and his blog. I want to be a diplomat here and just want the fighting to stop. It’s not worth anyone’s time. Some people’s true colours have shed cause of this execution. I am very disappointed in everyone and I read the blogs and forums with all the fighting. I am so disappointed. I wish all of you can just stop fighting and just get a long. We are all human beings here.

My brother’s mother-in-law is iraqi …and shiia kaman! she livedi n Iraq for a portion of her life … her entire family lived in Iraq as well … not all were for saddam’s rule …and some were pretty active against it! same thing with a close friend of mine … her mother is iraqi…shiia … lived in iraq for a portion of her life … and was pretty active against saddam’s rule … both of them, despite hating the regime never complained about lack of quality! and only had good things to say about the iraq under saddam’s rule … they never felt at one point that they were discriminated against becuse they’re shiia! so I guess not all iraqis suffered under saddam’s shit as you put it!

Moey, my family and I, and everyone we knew back then had suffered from the invasion. Not only that, there are still times when painful incidints and emotions surface due to what happened back then until this very day. For example, I still see how my country and my people are being accused of all the bad things which have nothing to do with them.. Just look at what some ignorant people had to say in your comments section.
However, I don’t approve of labeling whole nationalities with bad things as a result for the actions of an uneducated minority. True that some are labeling kuwaitis as a whole, but that doesn’t mean we should fix this mistake by doing a similar one. After all, a percentage of jordanians, palestinians, and certainly iraqis ARE capable of distinguishing what’s right from what’s not. My 2 cents, Moey: Generlization is a bitch.
