Money for living.. Living for money!

dsc00513.JPG

Passed by my friend Nasser’s place today, recorded a new song, enjoyed some good local “Petra” beer, and later on (at 2am), both of us got hungry and decided to have some Ka’ak and a mix of cheese, oregano and eggs. it’s freezing now and temperature is 7° C according to the car’s panel. the poor guy selling under the bridge (next to Sports City roundabout) is making sandwiches under this fugly weather.. If I were him, I’d not do it unless I’m in deep need, and I respect him because at least he’s not begging, he’s making money out of selling the Ka’ak sandwiches, I asked him to go home so he doesn’t get sick because he has to work the next day, “Ma3lish hassa bejo sawwageen el takasi jo3aneen w lazem ylago eshe yaklooh w ana aksab rezga” he replied. it might be the wrong way to make your living, but at least he’s not begging for money!

My 5 gershes

Note: Shaden saw me earlier today (5pm) with my friend Abed on our way to Chili House, I hope she passed her exam.

This is really sad. I totally agree with you on the working not begging part. Life is just unfair :(

Poor man … Why do you think it is a wrong way to make a living? It is perfectly fine if nothing else is available!

[...] Happy Birthday to Me 07Nov06 Tags: No TagsI’m now 22 and 22 feels old (despite the fact that 40 is the new 25) when I think of my achievements so far and  how many years I have before I’m weak and crinkly. It was one strange day yesterday, I saw Moey and his friend who were passing by the dormitory where I live, I recognized his voice immediately . I was on my way to JU because I had a midterm exam which was easy especially that I was prepared for essay type of questions while the exam consisted entirely of multiple-choice questions. I also met a weirdo who gave me a marriage resume. It was so funny that I’m going to dedicate an entire post to talk about it soon. [...]

b3een Allah man, some people have to work their butts 3 or 4 times harder, working the whole day just to get what should be a 2 or 3 hours wage, some times even less.
Who can we blame their lack of education (some exceptions can be found), or the government for their inequitable dividends distribution of what’s already scarce?
