When will CityMall open?

Situated in the heart of Amman, City Mall will be the largest one–stop family shopping destination in Jordan offering an extensive range of new international brands, restaurants, coffee shops, 10 screen Cineplex and an all – family entertainment zone, all distributed over four levels of retail.
Catering to a potentially high customer base is ample parking space in the country’s largest parking lot, with a 2400 car-capacity, 80% of which is underground.
The striking design reinforces the mall’s prime position in one of Amman’s most prominent regions. Spacious and elegant, City Mall provides visitors with a pleasant relaxing environment that will in turn make shopping in Jordan a comfortable and enjoyable experience.
Host to Jordan’s largest hypermarket, Carrefour, and housing many international – brand outlets like Virgin Megastore, Zara, H&M, Aizone, Starbucks, Mothercare, Vavavoom and many more, City Mall will provide visitors with a world class family shopping, dining and entertainment opportunity.

yeah lammoush finally, and yes wedad.. its good
in jordan there’s a new theme, mall la kol mowaten!!!!!!!!!!!!this comes after matab la kol mowaten
These places ooze with the uncomfortable feelings of Dubai-like familiarity. Reading through the brands and food outlets and the invetible interior decoarion (which i haven’t seen), what’s left of any notions of locality? A sun-burnt local in a traditional costume serving coffee at the main gate…
I think we would’ve been better off coming with something more genuine and local, malls fit the gulf for their harsh weather conditions and unhealthy consumer culture, instead they should’ve developed a contemporary well-planned open-air market, that can (but not necesserly) feature the same heard of brands.
